The overall purpose of this event is to enable participants to integrate care and communication strategies into everyday practice in order to address patient needs. Keynote speaker, Yvonne Conte, will present "The Positive Power of Humor" and sessions from other speakers will address topics of advance directives, adjusting practice to address needs, mental health concerns in the elderly population, suicide prevention and a survivor's perspective of substance abuse. There will also be a panel discussion regarding current gaps in resources and how we can address those.
